Play...

Picture
Play is a child's intrinsic way of learning.  While playing children are constantly learning an exploring their environment and developing socially emotionally and academically. Opportunities for un-interrupted play that allow children to extend and develop their ideas overtime creates pathways in the brain, develops gross and fine motor skills, provides opportunities for them to socialise and develop oral skills all while playing! Our role as educators in play is to scaffold, facilitate and provide opportunities for deep thinking and extension of learning.  Together we are helping children foster a sense of wonder and a life long love of learning.

Learn...

Underpinned by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, educators observe and spend time creating meaningful learning opportunities that occurs around their interests as an extension of play. It is hands-on and challenges individual children's developmental levels to ensure success and curiosity.

Grow...

Our environment fosters and respects each child's individuality. We provide a free flow between indoor and outdoor and our caring educators help support each child to become confident and capable learners in a safe and nurturing preschool environment.  We are unique in that we run a Pre-Kindy and Kindy program alongside each other.  This provides children with continuity of care and a strong foundation for their Kindergarten year.  2.5 - 5 years is a time of great growth and change. The children learn to become more independent and develop their individual strengths.  All educators are working towards helping children to reach their full potential.

Routines....

All of our routines are flexible and cater for all children's individual needs and interests. Throughout the day the children are encouraged to foster their self-help skills and become responsible for their own belongings and their learning environment. As educators we foster sustainable practices and the children will have opportunities to work in the garden caring for the worm farm and looking after fruit and vegetables growing in our gardens.
